All rental rates include VAT & insurance and are subject to availability. *Despite the purchase of insurance an excess will be charged for any vehicle damage. Insurance cover is for UK mainland only unless clearance is granted prior to rental. Hire rates include 24 hour breakdown recovery, details are provided.

Drivers

Drivers of hire vehicles must be between the ages of 23 and 75 (Group 4 plus & Minibus - 25years to 75years) and possess a full category British driving licence for the type of vehicle rented. Overseas visitors must produce a valid domestic driving licence or an international driving permit accompanied by a passport. Drivers of hire vehicle are required to have held a full driving licence for at least 12 months and have a clean insurance record although endorsed licences may be accepted. An administrative charge will be made for any additional drivers. No person other than the renter or approved additional driver / drivers are permitted to drive the vehicle rented. Seatbelts must be worn at all times as required by the law. Child seats are provided free of charge subject to availability. It is the responsibility of the renter to insure that they are fitted correctly and placed in the correct part of the vehicle.

It is the responsibility of the driver to check whether the passenger airbag is switched on or off - Where the facility to do this is available. Hirers must conform with the Law with regard to children sitting in the front of vehicles.

Driving Licence and Identification

Driving licences and further forms of identification must be provided. Please note renters with new style driving licences must provide both parts.

Car Hire

Minimum hire period is 1 Day. Mileage allowance: 1-3 Days - 250 miles per day free of charge. 4 Days and greater - unlimited mileage. Weekend rental (Fri 4.00pm to Mon 9.00am) - 600 miles Free of charge. Mileage excess: Economy - group 00, Group 1 & 2 - 4p per mile. Group 3, 4, 5 & 6 - 7p per Mile. Group 7, 8, 9 & 10 - 10p per mile.

Van and Minibus Rental

Minimum rental period is 4 hours subject to availability. **4 Hour and Evening rentals incur per mile fuel charge. Mileage allowance: 1 Day plus - 250 miles per day FOC. Mileage excess: Economy & Group A - 10p per mile / Group B - 12p per mile / Group C, D, E & Minibus - 15p per mile.

Payments

Payment for car, van and minibus hire is made at the time of collection of rental vehicle directly to our supplier. For cancellation 24hrs notice is required otherwise you will be invoiced for 1 days hire.

Rental Extensions

Subject to availability rentals may be extended by contacting the rental office and arranging an extension during time of original rental. Failure to do so will result in the vehicle being uninsured.

Vehicle models shown and descriptions are for illustrative purposes only and to give you an idea of vehicle size and capacity. While every effort is made to comply with requirements we cannot guarantee a specific model.

WHEN RENTING PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR DRIVING LICENCE AND FURTHER FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION. e.g Utility bill

Arnold Clark reserve the right to refuse rental and to cancel bookings due to inclement weather and operational problems outwith their control. Arnold Clark also reserve the right to change terms and conditions without notice.
