Things to consider when choosing which car to hire / drive in Florida:
Which airport are you arriving at? There is a hire drive Miami International Airport branch convenient for all 8 concourses (A - H). International flights arrive in Miami at all except concourse D which is the Domestic flight zone. The type of car that you rent should be dependant not only on how many passangers you need to transport, but also the distance that you will be driving. There is no doubt about it that if you are driving across Florida or into other states in America that we would advise you to go for a larger engine and more spacious car than if you were just going to drive from A to B in Miami city. Most of the cars will be automatic transmission, but you can select manual if you so wish. The larger 4x4's are extremely useful if you are heading out of the territory as they are big, comfortable and there is a lot of metal between you and the road!

Parking a hired car in Miami can be tricky - go for the size of car that you are familiar with! From the Airport it is a 7 mile (11 km) drive into Miami. Remember if you drive a hired car you are responsible for any parking ticket or speeding fine - these cannot be passed back to the car rental company.
