The main Swiss sector of Geneva airport is accessible from the N1 airport motorway but as with amny motorways in Europe youewill have to pay the vignette motorway tax. To find France take the A40 autoroute (motorway) off the N1 Geneva airport motorway. In order to avoid Swiss territory entirely, drive direct to the French sector via Ferney-Voltaire, near Collonges on the D-984; at Ferney-Voltaire follow the signs for Geneva and, just before Swiss customs, take the road on the right to the Geneva Airport French sector. If you are coing from Geneva Airport to France then follow the reverse instructions.
Geneva Airport has short- and long-term parking facilities with direct access to the airport as well as off airport arking and a dedicated car park for the French sector. Car hire companies including Alamo, Budget, Avis, Europcar and Hertz are present in the main terminal at Geneva Airport with cars situated in the car parks, so no need for delays with airport transfers.
