>>>>>We offer car hire booking for visitors to the Euro 2004 football tournament in Portugal.
The UEFA EURO 2004 final tournament begins on 12 June 2004 and the first game is between the hosts Portugal and Greece at the Dragão stadium, Porto. There will be four groups of four teams that have qualified from all over Europe over the last three years. Matches will be played all over Portugal and conclude on the 31 st of June in a grand final in Lisbon.
Group games:
On each day of the 16-team group stage there will be two games, one at 17.00 local time and another at 19.45 in the same pool. During the UEFA E.URO 2004™ group stage, each team will meet their group opponents once, with three points for a win and one for a draw.In the final sets of group games, both games will be played simultaneously at 20.45.
The winner and runners up from each group will progress to the quarter-finals which will then be played over the following four evenings before the first two rest days on 28 and 29 June. The semi-finals are on the evenings of 30 June and 1 July, before Lisbon's Luz stadium stages the final on Sunday 4 July
England are in Group B with Switzerland, France and Croatia and their games are as follows.
Grp B Switzerland v Croatia13/06 17:00 Leiria
Grp B England v France 13/06 19:45 Lisbon
Grp B England v Switzerland 17/06 17:00 Coimbra
Grp B Croatia v France 17/06 19:45 Leiria
Grp B Switzerland v France 21/06 19:45 Coimbra
Grp B England v Croatia 21/06 19:45 Lisbon
England v France is a tough openening game against the current Euro 2000 winners. On paper easier matches against Croatia and Switzerland should determine if England progress to the next stage and if so as winners or runners up:
Winner A19:45Runner-up B24/06Lisbon
W inner B19:45Runner-up A25/06Lisbon
Winner C19:45Runner-up D26/06Faro-Loulé
Winner D19:45Runner-up C27/06Porto
So if England progress they will play in Lisbon. If England win that match they will be in the semi-final and will then play in Lisbon or Porto depending on earlier results. Then it would be on to he big one, the Euro 2004 Final in Lisbon on 4th July 2004
Therefore England will play definitely in Lisbon and Coimbra and possibly in Porto.
